A security camera in the Indian capital has captured the horrifying moment an off-duty police officer hit a female pedestrian in his car and then ran her over as he was attempting to flee.<br /><br />The disturbing scene took place on July 3rd. <br /><br />The footage shows the hatchback hit the woman, knocking her to the ground.<br /><br />As passers-by surround her to help her to her feet, the driver now runs her over and flees the scene. <br /><br />The driver has been identified as a 56-year-old Delhi Police sub-inspector and has been arrested.<br /><br />The woman, described as "elderly", was badly injured in the incident and is still undergoing treatment.
