Amazing footage shows a monarch caterpillar shedding its skin before enclosing itself in silk chrysalis.<br /><br />Insect enthusiast Todd Clough said he found the caterpillar in his garden and took it carefully into his house, where he ensured its survival.<br /><br />He made a plastic bottle shelter for it to stay before a butterfly is born, along with the other chrysalis he found in his yard in West Bloomfield, Michigan, on June 23.<br /><br />He said: "This was a very cold and rainy spring, so they were delayed in migrating here. I have about 20 caterpillars in total so far."<br /><br />Monarch butterfly spring season migration happens between the months of March and June.
