The remote Um Island in Indonesia is home to thousands of bats which are seen hanging from trees in this footage filmed on July 5.<br /><br />According to local residents, the island of Um has indeed been a habitat for thousands of bats and seagulls since time immemorial. After the bats leave, seagulls come and perch at sunset.<br /><br />The existence of thousands of bats in the afternoon makes Um Island a popular tourist destination.<br /><br />Visitors also enjoy the beauty of the beach with white sand and the clarity of the seawater.<br /><br />Elbert Mobalen, a local tourism coordinator, said: "After the bats leave in the afternoon until the evening to find food, seagulls then arrive. They take turns."
