Farmer finds Neolithic artefacts in his land

A farmer was delighted after he stumbled upon primitive tools buried in his land while he was digging in Ang Thong, central Thailand.<br /><br />Somkiat Boriboon, 54, contacted the country's Ministry of Culture after finding ancient utensils on July 2.<br /><br />Specialists from the ministry went to the area and examined the utensils along with human and animal bones that were found and concluded them to be from Neolithic age.<br /><br />They ministry representative will secure the land to begin further exploration in hopes of finding more valuable artefacts underneath.<br /><br />The representative said: "The utensils are clearly from the Neolithic age which was around 4,500 to 10,000 years ago and we will take the bone to check their ages as well.<br /><br />"Moreover, since we believe that there could be more of these underground, we will secure the land and begin the exploration soon."
