Locals in Madhya Pradesh, central India rescued a calf stranded down a well on July 7.<br /><br />The incident took place at a well in the vicinity of Rani Lakshmi Bai Girls' School in Chhatarpur.<br /><br />According to reports, the calf fell into the well and was left stranded until a local spotted the animal. <br /><br />After spotting the calf, the local resident called on his friends for help. <br /><br />Footage of the incident shows a man tying a rope to his waist and rappelling down the well. <br /><br />He is then seen tying the rope to the calf's back and neck.<br /><br />After several attempts, locals at the top manage to haul the man and calf out of the well. <br /><br />Reports suggest the calf suffered minor injuries from the fall.
