Two animal rights activists from Animal Rebellion were arrested on Saturday (July 11) after they dyed the iconic fountains at London's Trafalgar Square blood-red.<br /><br />Protesters claimed that animal farming caused the COVID-19 outbreak and ending meat consumption would help to prevent future pandemics, encouraging plant-based alternatives. The activism group believes the government must end all animal farming.<br /><br />An activist who dyed one of the fountains told media, "the government has blood on their hands, they're responsible for the climate and animal emergency"
