A bridge collapsed in Nepal on Friday (July 10th) during floods which have killed at least 40 people. <br /><br />The metal road bridge was torn down by the powerful river torrents close to the Beni - Jomsom - Sadak Road running alongside the Kali Gandaki River in the Tiplyang district.<br /><br />Officials said that thousands of people in western Nepal have been displaced by the floods and landslides caused by heavy rain.<br /><br />District administrator Gyan Nath Dhakal said at least 20 people were killed and at least 13 others were missing in the Myagdi district.
