유명희 "시기적절하고 회복력있으며 대응력 갖춘 WTO 만들것"<br /><br />South Korean trade minister Yoo Myung-hee, who is running for the top job at the World Trade Organization says her goal is to make the WTO a more relevant, resilient and responsive world body, if she is approved as Director-General.<br />Speaking to reporters in Geneva, shortly after her arrival on Sunday,... Yoo said she will reform and restore the organization's core function in handling disputes.<br />And she added that this is what Japan, a country Seoul is involved in a trade dispute with, might want as well.<br />This is her, prior to her departure on Sunday.<br />"Japan, as well as many other member nations, will agree on strengthening the WTO system to overcome crisis amid the multilateral trading system."<br />A total of eight candidates, including Yoo, will deliver their political views to the WTO's board members, and the electioneering will wrap on September 6th.<br />
