유명희 "시기적절하고 회복력있으며 대응력 갖춘 WTO 만들것"<br /><br /> South Korea's trade minister Yoo Myung-hee, who is running for the top job at the World Trade Organization, says... her goal is to make the WTO a more relevant, resilient and responsive world body, if approved as Director-General.<br /> At a WTO General Council meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on Sunday, Yoo stressed that she'll reform and restore the organization's core functions in handling disputes.<br />This is Yoo displaying confidence that she has the credentials to be appointed, take a listen:<br /><br />"With eight contenders, I think it will be a fierce competition. I'm going to highlight that I'm the most suitable candidate to lead the WTO reform, with my experience and expertise on trade and international networks."<br /><br />The eight candidates will present their views then have until September 7th for an election campaign. The WTO will then start its selection process. <br />
