지난달 실업급여 지급액 1조1천억원...또 '역대 최대'<br /><br /> The amount of unemployment benefits paid out in South Korea last month rose to a record high.<br /> According to the labor ministry, the government paid 1-point-1 trillion won -- or a little under a billion U.S. dollars -- in state unemployment allowances last month.<br />That's an increase of nearly 63 percent on year.<br />The figure has broken record after record since February because of the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />The ministry explained,... that not only have many Koreans lost their jobs... but the government has increased the budget for unemployment.... and the length of the benefits since last year. <br />
