A plant-rich diet high in protein can reduce your risk of death from heart disease by 10%.<br />The heart-healthy news was published Monday by JAMA Internal Medicine.<br />In the study, researchers substituted plant-based protein sources for eggs.<br />They found the switch reduced risk for death from heart disease by more than 20%.<br />Replacing red meat with plant-based proteins also reduced the risk of heart disease death by up to 15%.<br />According to UPI, the data shows that plant-based diets have the ability to influence health outcomes.
