미, 남중국해 고리로 대중 제재 엄포…"현대판 동인도회사" 비판<br /><br />The United States is warning again that Washington could respond with sanctions against Chinese officials and enterprises involved in coercion in the South China Sea.<br />The comments from U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia, David Stilwell, on Tuesday come a day after the U.S. rejected China's claims to offshore resources in most of the South China Sea as "completely unlawful".<br />Stilwell added the tougher U.S. position means Washington will no longer stay neutral on maritime issues.<br />China's foreign ministry condemned the comments,... saying it "destroys regional peace and stability."<br />
