Two elephants stopped traffic when they emerged from woodland to cross a road in central Thailand.<br /><br />The jumbos were seen wandering through the fields in Nakhon Nayok province on Monday afternoon (July 13).<br /><br />Park rangers were called and tracked the beasts, stopping traffic so they could safely cross the highway and return to the mountainside jungle.<br /><br />The jumbos continued their journey up hill with the rangers at their tails to ensure they arrived home safely.<br /><br />Officials said the two animals had been scene several times in recent weeks venturing away from their herd to search for food near homes.
