Taco Bell confirmed rumors that it is cutting popular 12 items from its menu in August.<br />Business Insider reports the items to be removed include fan favorites such as Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes, Nachos Supreme, and Loaded Grillers.<br />To make it up to disappointed customers Taco Bell is also adding two new options to the menu: a $5 Grande Nachos Box and a $1 beef burrito.<br />Customers are angry the items are going to go.<br />Taco Bell released a statement addressing the menu changes.<br />"While change is hard, a simplified menu and innovation process will leave room for new fan favorites, continued progress in categories such as plant-based diets, and even opportunities for the return of some classics on a limited time basis," Taco Bell said in a press release. <br />Customers said Taco Bell's statement is" fake", "condescending", and "patronizing."
