A man was stranded in the flood for at least five days before being rescued by locals in northern India's Bihar.<br /><br />The incident took place at a village in Katgharwa of Gopalganj on July 14.<br /><br />According to reports, the river Gandak flooded while leaving the neighbouring villages completely swamped in water.<br /><br />Sources suggest hundreds of huts and pucca (permanent) houses were submerged in water and as many as 250 people have been rescued and taken to safety.<br /><br />Local youth and the head of the Katgharwa Panchayat, Rajesh Kumar Sahni, was assessing the flood situation around Katgharwa when he spotted the man stranded.<br /><br />The clip shows the man on the roof before getting rescued.
