LGBT rights activists covered the doors to the Embassy of Poland in central London with rainbow flags and signs on Saturday (July 18) following the reelection of President Andrzej Duda.<br /><br />Duda has called the LGBT rights movement an "ideology" worse than communism and proposed an amendment to the constitution of Poland that would ban same-sex couples from adopting children.<br /><br />A protester at the event said "every LGBT person comes from a family ... every LGBTQ+ person wants to form a family in their own life", adding 'LGBT-free zones' in Poland were terrifying, making comparisons to fascism.<br /><br />Poland's main opposition party has called for the recent election to be declared invalid, accusing Duda's party of breaking the law.
