A lucky black kitten was rescued after falling into a deep and dirty canal in Bangkok, central Thailand.<br /><br />Locals heard a cat screaming from the water on July 4 while it struggled to swim and stay afloat.<br /><br />The Wang Thong district volunteer team rushed to help the poor animal out of the canal after residents called for help.<br /><br />Footage shows the cat being rescued using a long stick with rope attached on the tip which they used to pull it up.<br /><br />The rescuers calmed the moggy down, dried it wet hairs, and checked for any possible injury but the brave kitten looked fine and was released.<br /><br />However, no one knew who the cat's owner, so the team let it go home on its own. One of the volunteers said: "We do not know who the cat's owner is, but it is better if we save one's life."
