Forest officials in Pudukkottai, southern India battled to remove a snake taking refuge in the hood of a car on July 17.<br /><br />The footage shows several men using sticks to try and pull the rat snake from the vehicle's engine.<br /><br />After the reptile was caught it was then released into the nearby jungle.
