Prep Time-2 hrs Cook Time-30 mins Servings:4<br /><br />Ingredients<br />*For Pizza Base:<br />2 Cups of maida or all purpose flour<br />1/4 Cup water<br />1 and 1/2 Tsp active dry yeast<br />1 Tsp sugar<br />1/2 Tsp oil<br />Some more water for kneading<br />Salt to taste<br /><br />*For Pizza Sauce:<br />2 Big tomatoes<br />10 cloves of garlic<br />5 Kashmiri red chilies<br />Some crushed black pepper<br />2 Tbsp tomato ketchup<br />1/2 Tsp red chili powder<br />1 Tsp sugar<br />2 Tbsp oil<br />Salt to taste<br /><br />*For Topping:<br />1 Small red bell pepper – sliced<br />1 Small green bell pepper or capsicum<br />1/4 Cup sliced black olives(optional)<br />1 Small onion sliced<br />1/8 Cup boiled sweetcorn(optional)<br />2-3 Cheese slices<br />60-70 gm mozzarella cheese<br />Some chili flakes and Oregano<br /><br />Instructions<br />*To Make Dough:<br />To activate the yeast, mix 1 tsp sugar with 1/4 cup of warm (not hotwater). Then add 1 & 1/2 tsp active dry yeast and mix well. Cover and keep it aside for 10 min.<br />After 10 min, the yeast should froth up.<br />Now, in a big bowl, take 2 cup plain flour (maida). Add some salt to taste, and mix all the dry ingredients well.<br />Add yeast mixture to the bowl and make a medium soft dough by adding a litter water at a time.<br />Knead this dough for 10-15 min and add a splash of water if you feel the dough has become dry.<br />Apply 1/2 tsp oil on the finished dough and keep it aside in a warm place by covering it using a damp cloth. After approximately 1 hr, the dough should double up in size.<br /><br />*To Make Sauce:<br />Boil 2 big tomatoes, 10 cloves of garlic and 5 Kashmiri red chilies. Let this come to room temperature and remove the tomato skin and eye portion.<br />Grind all above boiled ingredients in a smooth paste.<br />Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add little bit of puree followed by 1/2 tsp red chili powder. Fry it for a few seconds.<br />Add remaining puree and cook till sauce thickens a bit.<br />Add 1 tsp sugar, 2 tbsp tomato ketchup and some salt to taste.<br />Cook it for few seconds. The sauce is now ready. Let it cool to room temperature.<br /><br />*To Assemble the Pizza:<br />Take the dough out of the bowl after 1 hour of rest and knead it for few seconds.<br />Take a portion of dough depending on the size of pizza plate you have. Cover it with a damp cloth and keep it aside for 10 min.<br />After 10 min, sprinkle some maida on the table top and start flattening the dough using your fingers. You can also use rolling pin to do this.<br />Place the base in the pizza tray and press the base along the side of the plate.<br />Spread some pizza sauce on the base. Add some pieces of processed cheese slices over the sauce followed by some grated/chopped mozzarella cheese.<br />Put some boiled sweetcorn, sliced red and green bell peppers, sliced onions and some black olives.<br /><br />*To Bake the Pizza:<br />We are using a homemade oven for this recipe. To make this, take a large kadhai or a vessel and add a layer of salt (or sanat the bottom.<br />Place a ring over the salt layer and cover it with a lid. Preheat it on a high flame for 15 min.<br />Gently place the pizza plate on the ring, place the lid back on it. Bake this pizza for 10-15 min on a high flame.<br />After 10-15 m
