An elephant tried to break into a village adjacent to a wildlife reserve in southern India’s Karnataka.<br /><br />The incident took place on July 18 in a village within the N Begur Range along Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Chamarajanagar district.<br /><br />According to reports, this was not the first time the same elephant was trying to infiltrate the 200-kilometre-long periphery (124 miles) along the national park.<br /><br />The infamous elephant has been frequenting the same segment of the under-construction barricade area for a long time, sufficiently understanding it is the only place to breach the barrier.<br /><br />The footage shows the elephant banging its nasal bridge against the barricade in an attempt to crack open the iron fence, but failing to do so.<br /><br />Later, the mischievous beast was driven back into the woods by forest guards on patrol in the area.
