A retired athlete rescued a fisherman using his paddleboard who fell into the Yellow River in northern China.<br /><br />At 4 p.m. on July 22, Zhengzhou, Henan, near the Taohuayu Bridge on the Xingyang section of the Yellow River. A fisherman stumbled and fell into the Yellow River.<br /><br />The man is seen struggling in the water, barely showing his head and calling for help. On the bank of the river, a young man knelt on a paddleboard began moving towards him in an attempt to rescue him.<br /><br />The retired athlete first turned the bottom of the paddleboard upside down and then grabbed both arms of the fisherman to the edge of the paddleboard. <br /><br />The fisherman was able to get on the paddleboard, and then the young man got on the paddleboard again and paddled them both to shore.<br /><br />The rescuer Ma Chenglong in the video, 21, turned out to be a professional kayaker in Henan Province.
