COVID-19 Immunity May Fade Over A Period Of Days Or Weeks

Immunity against COVID-19 in people who have had and recovered from the disease may fade after 90 days.<br />The data is from a small study that looked at 34 patient's antibodies following infection with and recovery from COVID-19.<br />According to UPI, the analysis evaluated patients ranging in age from 21 to 68 years old.<br />Researchers found that subjects produced antibodies from as short as 44 days to as long as 119 days.<br />Researchers said that their results suggest immunity may be "relatively short-lived and immunity may wane."<br />researchers also said that the findings need to be confirmed in a larger study, with more patients.
