pet dog was barking at a monitor lizard which lash out - by whacking the pooch in the face.<br /><br />The dog, named Apple, was walking with its brother, Cola, in Chonburi, eastern Thailand on July 18.<br /><br />Owner Noon Pattanachan noticed the wild reptile on the path and the two dogs surrounded the creature, barking aggressively to stake out their territory.<br /><br />However, the lizard was not backing down and with one flick of its tail, smashed the pooch across its nose.<br /><br />Noon was shocked after seeing er pet being struck and called out for them to come back, before running over to bring them away from the lizard.<br /><br />She said: "Apple was hurt and I think he will be traumatised
