인 코로나19 시대: 스포츠경기 관중입장 재개 방침…모레 프로야구부터<br /><br />Professional sports leagues around the world have been underway without spectators... here in Korea since May.<br />But, that's about to change.<br />Starting this Sunday, fans will be allowed back in the ballpark albeit at limited capacity and under new virus prevention rules.<br />Lee Kyung-eun has the details.<br />This Sunday, baseball fans in South Korea will finally be able to watch games in person.<br />This welcoming news comes two months into the season.<br />"Professional sports matches have been held without spectators. But now, they will be reopened to fans in a phased manner."<br />But teams are required to limit the number of fans to just 10 percent of the stadium capacity.<br />And they need to strictly follow social distancing guidelines laid out by the Korea Baseball Organization,... which include displaying precautionary measures on the screen and checking temperatures at the gates.<br />"We've made lots of preparations to protect our players and fans, like minimizing contacts between them."<br />For fans, there are new set of rules to follow too.<br />They must buy tickets online in advance, so that visitor tracking is easy if needed.<br />Tickets will be available through the Interpark website.<br />During the games, they must wear face masks, sit in a zig-zag manner to keep their distance, and refrain from eating food inside the stadium.<br />Group chanting is also restricted to prevent any spread of droplets.<br />Professional soccer is set to apply a similar policy on August 1st.<br />And golf is likely follow suit starting September.<br />The government is planning to loosen the capacity restrictions gradually depending on the situation.<br />This sports reopening is in line with the government's so-called "Level 1 social distancing",... which is the lowest level in its three-stage system announced in June.<br />Lee Kyung-eun, Arirang News.<br />
