NEW YORK CITY — A Bronx church is the subject of an ungodly break-in after a pair of burglars stole electronic equipment and then defecated on the floor.<br /><br />The NYPD has released these images after two crooks broke through the back door of the Creston Avenue Baptist Church at around 12:30 a.m. on July 21. <br /><br />The thieves stole electronics and sound equipment to the value of almost $8,000; one of the looters then defecated on the floor of the house of worship. <br /><br />The Church's director, Edward Callahan said, 'You never think something like this would happen.' Regarding the sacrilegious incident, Callahan said, 'They broke the back door so we had to get that replaced. They went into the pastor's floor and they defecated into the foyer.'<br /><br />The loot taken from the 115-year-old church included donated Apple computers, sound equipment, and other electronics for its after school programs for the local children. <br /><br />Parishioner Sherman Elliot said, 'I feel invaded. This is my home. This is the lord's home.'<br /><br />'Material things come and go...That can be rectified. They didn't burn it down.'<br /><br />The NYPD said that the crooks broke into several locked rooms once inside, however, since the robbery, a GoFundMe page for the church has seen over $10,000 already being donated to help replace the stolen goods.<br /><br />Practicing equanimity, Callahan expressed forgiveness towards those responsible and hoped only for justice saying, 'We forgive what they've done, we know it's wrong but hope justice will be served.'<br /><br /><br />TomoNews is your best source for real news.
