This is the emotional moment a 15-year-old labrador helped his San Diego owners with the groceries for the final time.<br /><br />Footage from June 3 shows the senior dog - named Boston - carrying a bag of vegetables into the house, where he is rewarded with a shot of whipped cream.<br /><br />Boston is seen walking with a limp after suffering from arthritis - but that didn't stop him from helping out the family.<br /><br />The filmer, Adam Wilson, told Newsflare: "This is Boston the English Lab bringing in groceries for the final time at the age of 15. <br /><br />"Ever since he was a young rescue, he decided he would help with the chore of bringing in Costco groceries. <br /><br />"One day he just decided he would help. <br /><br />"No training was required as he just wanted to help after watching us do it. <br /><br />"This video was taken in his final days.<br /><br />"Even though he was hurting from arthritis he would still help out for just a squirt of Reddi-wip whipped cream or a small kettle chip. <br /><br />"He passed away recently but everyone still loves his amazing talent. <br /><br />"Originally his thick and strong build could bring in two-three gallons of milk by putting them in a bag and spreading the handle so that he had a good grip but as the years went on the objects got lighter and lighter. <br /><br />"He was a rescue who was mixed up with another dog that we agreed to adopt and when the pound realized their mistake they called us and told us he was a bad dog that was meant to be put down the next day. <br /><br />"What a great 'mistake' he was as he was the kindest most loving dog that anyone could ask for."
