Florida couple James and Kimberly Snead are living personifications of the adage 'no good deed goes unpunished.'<br />The Sneads were the last foster parents of Nikolas Cruz. Cruz carried out a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in 2018.<br />As part of a legal agreement to settle numerous civil lawsuits, the Sneads were required to write a letter of apology to the victims and their families.<br />According to Newser, they said they should have believed what they were told.<br />Namely, that Cruz was homicidal, untrustworthy, and infatuated with firearms.<br />We thought we could handle this troubled young man, unfortunately, we were wrong.
