Residents were terrified after their homes were damaged by a group of wild monkeys. <br /><br />Locals contacted the emergency services when they were disturbed by the primates in Samut Sakhon, central Thailand on Wednesday afternoon (July 29).<br /><br />Footage shows the creatures resting on the roof after they had ripped off the roof tile and some cable wire on it.<br /><br />One of the residents said that their home was raided by the monkeys before but the authorities had taken care of it.<br /><br />Chayut Kaimuk said: "There were monkeys in the area for a long time but they started to damage the properties it was taken care of by the authorities.<br /><br />"There used to be more than a hundred of them but they were caught and released back to the wild. Now they are coming back."<br /><br />Chayut added that they were desperate for the local government to take some action again. <br /><br />He said: "We are facing the same problem with the monkeys again and it is very disturbing.<br /><br />"We are also worried that the children might be attacked by them so it would be better if the authorities take action urgently."
