LG화학, 2분기 전기차 배터리로 '사상 최대 실적'<br /><br />One of South Korea's leading makers of batteries for electric vehicles LG Chem has seen record-high profits amid the pandemic.<br />The company says operating profits in the second quarter came to about four-hundred-80 million U.S. dollars,... more than double the same period last year.<br />That's thanks in large part to its plant in Poland achieving stability and cutting costs.<br />Sales were up 25 percent from the quarter before as the company shipped more EV batteries to Europe and China, where environmental regulations are stricter.<br />LG Chem says it expects a good performance in the next quarter as well with the launch of new EV models in Europe.<br />
