FierceHealthCare reports that CVS Health's pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), added five new solutions to its health care platform.<br />The new solutions allow its customers to sift through digital health solutions to include in health plans.<br />PBMs have traditionally been responsible for administering prescriptions and negotiating the costs of drugs for large employers and health insurers.<br />However, according to Business Insider, CVS Caremark began using this same model for digital health products in June 2019.<br />CVS wants to enable payers to formalize the reimbursement and distribution for digital tools.<br />Among the newly added solutions are mental health tools designed to manage anxiety.
