Footage shows chaotic scenes at a public market as shoppers ignore social distancing measures despite the spike in COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.<br /><br />Ivan Carlos Harold Jenayon said he is starting to worry since the bustling market is near his apartment in Caloocan City.<br /><br />He took the video on July 22 but said that this has been the situation at the market every morning.<br /><br />He said: "I even saw some who did not wear mask on top of not following proper social distancing rules."<br /><br />In the video, market-goers flock in front of fish and meat stall vendors without a few meter distance between them.<br /><br />The country has the fastest-growing number of new COVID-19 cases among over 20 countries and territories in Western Pacific Region, based on the data of World Health Organization since June 16.<br /><br />The Department of Health (DOH) announces the highest single-day record of COVID-19 cases with 4,963 confirmed cases on Saturday, August 1 which brings the total number of cases to more than 100,000 patients.
