Pittsburgh Is Participating in Jack <br />Dorsey's 'Guaranteed Income' Program Mayor Bill Peduto <br />confirmed the <br />city's participation. Eligible residents in Pittsburgh <br />and 15 other cities will receive <br />$500 a month in "guaranteed income" <br />funded by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Mayor Peduto wants to award the payments to those who are currently struggling amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He also wants to give the money to <br />different demographics so that a study can <br />be done to analyze how well the system works. Dorsey tweeted about the <br />program earlier this month. In 2018, the mayors of Atlanta, Seattle <br />and Los Angeles formed the network <br />Mayors for a Guaranteed Income. They will also be participating <br />in Dorsey's program. Stockton, Calif.
