지구촌 곳곳 폭우로 물난리…미국 동부지역 허리케인 강타, 중국 태풍 피해 잇따라<br /><br />Countries around the world are suffering from torrential downpours and floods this summer.<br />Millions of homes and businesses were left with no power after tropical storm Isaias battered the U.S. East Coast with torrential rain and strong winds.<br />The storm also killed several people as it ripped through the East Coast, after making landfall as a hurricane in North Carolina on Monday.<br />Isaias has since moved into Canada, and has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone.<br />Over in China, typhoon Hagupit hammered eastern regions of the country since Tuesday, bringing heavy downpours to Shanghai, causing urban waterlogging and disrupting traffic.<br />Downgraded to a tropical storm on Wednesday, Hagupit had caused hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate.<br />
