A bridge was built around a house after the owner refused to move as they were not satisfied with their new flat in eastern China.<br /><br />The video, filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on August 3, shows a 10-square-metre house left standing in the middle of a newly-built bridge.<br /><br />Local residents were seen visiting and taking pictures of the house, while the house owner Ms Liang was being interviewed.<br /><br />According to Liang, the new flat provided by the local government was opposite a hospital's morgue, so she refused to move there.<br /><br />Since the local authorities cannot reach an agreement with Ms Liang, they changed the design of the bridge and built it around her house. <br /><br />The local authorities are still negotiating with the house owner. <br /><br />The video was provided by local media with permission.
