Roughly one in three children hospitalized with COVID-19 in the US has needed ICU treatment.<br />This figure was released on Friday by the U.S, according to UPI.com.<br />Hospitalized adults infected with COVID-19 are admitted to the ICU at essentially the same rate.<br />However, adults are 20 times more likely to need hospital care after getting infected than children.<br />Invasive mechanical ventilation was required in less than 6% of children.<br />This is compared to nearly 19% of adults.
