In order to give a huge push to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the Defence Ministry on Sunday decided to impose a ban on 101 import items to boost indigenisation of defence production. <br /> <br />The annoucement was made on Twitter by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday who said that the defence ministry has prepared a list of 101 items for which there would be an embargo on the import beyond the timeline indicated against them.
