Footage shows the deserted bars in Bangkok's Patpong nightlife district which is suffering from the country's Covid-19 shutdown.<br /><br />The are would normally be one of the busiest entertainment areas in Thailand but tourists have been effectively banned from entering since March 22.<br /><br />Despite no local transmissions of the coronavirus for more than two months, some doctors are pushing to keep the country closed until 2021 at the earliest.<br /><br />The restrictions are now likely to bring further economic troubles to Thailand's tourism industry, which accounts for an estimated 20 per cent of GDP.
