A terrified motorcycle rider found a live snake living under the seat.<br /><br />Wiriya Dabthong, 33, was about to set off from his home in Ang Thong, central Thailand when he noticed the green snake's tail poking out.<br /><br />He said: "When I started the engine, I saw a tail under the motorbike cover. There was no way I was riding away with the snake inside, even if it meant being late for my appointment.''<br /><br />The shocked rider called animal rescuers for help because the serpent had squeezed too far inside his bike on August 10.<br /><br />Snake handler Jirawat Iamlamai, 28, arrived at the scene, and helped look for the snake inside the engine, where it had not disappeared to.<br /><br />However, the snake had tucked itself too far inside the machinery that even the snake catcher could not lure it out.<br /><br />The frustrated rider agreed to take his vehicle to a repair shop where a mechanic was able to remove some parts of the engine to see inside.<br /><br />The motorbike's cover was removed and the snake was hosed down with water to make it come out.<br /><br />They spent more than ten minutes before the 4ft long golden tree snake was pulled out of the engine.<br /><br />The nonvenomous snake was taken by the rescuer to be released later into the wild.<br /><br />Meanwhile, superstitious neighbors who heard the news asked for the house and license plate number to use in the lottery as locals believe that animal encounters are lucky.
