A cobra was found inside a clay pot after slipping into a birdcage in Pune, western India, on April 15.<br /><br />Footage shows snake rescuer Saidas Kusal retrieving the dangerous reptile that was comfortably coiled inside a clay pot and blowing air until it came out. <br /><br />Kusal said: “It was a young cobra, which had cleverly slipped through the grills of the cage. But its plan for an easy meal got interrupted.”<br /><br />According to local media, a family of bird-lovers woke up to an unusual sound coming from their birdcage and were horrified to find a cobra. It had killed two birds, eaten one of them, while the three remaining birds were screaming.<br /><br />As the family put on the light in panic, the cobra felt threatened, regurgitated the bird it had swallowed, and took refuge in an earthen pot which had been kept as a nest for the birds.<br /><br />The cobra was later released into the wild.
