르네상스 천재화가 '라파엘로' 500년전 얼굴 3D로 복원<br /><br />The face of the great Renaissance artist, Raphael, has been recreated in 3D... five hundred years after his death.<br />Using 3D imaging software, a group of scientists from Rome University have succeeded in reconstructing his face... from a plaster cast of his presumed skull that was made in 1833.<br />"This technique allows us to identify the face of the individual to a precision of 85 percent. This means that anyone living in Raphael's time, who knew him, would have recognized him from this reconstruction."<br />But the artist who always sought perfection... may have tweaked his nose in his self-portraits... scientists noted that his nose definitely looked more "refined" in his paintings than in the computer-generated image.<br />The scientists say they'll continue to work to determine the color of his hair as well as his eyes.<br /><br />
