Uniqlo launched its first modest wear line, Uniqlo x Hana Tajima Collection, in July this year. The collaboration between the Japanese high street brand and the UK-born, New York-based fashion blogger and designer Hana Tajima produced a collection that featured hijab headscarves and innerwear, as well as demure styled jeans, blouses and dresses. <br /><br />In this Star2.com Exclusive, we talked with Tajima and her muse (also the face of the campaign), Malaysian pop singer-songwriter Yuna, about their inspiration for the collection, hair care tips for hijabsters, and the debate over the hijab as a fashion statement. “Your decision to wear the hijab is very personal. It’s more than a Muslim identity,” says Yuna.
