In a heart-stopping incident, a dog badly covered in tar was rescued by animal rescue organization 'Animal Rahat' in Solapur, western India.<br /><br />The hard to watch video shows the dog's incredible transformation from rescue to recovery.<br /><br />The dog, Champi, was stuck on a pavement when a member of the animal rescue organizaton spotted it and came to its rescue. <br /><br />The rescuers were then in a race against time as Champi was badly tarred, and they had to act fast to save the life of the vulnerable canine. <br /><br />Champi was sedated first and taken to a safe place, where the tar was melted from its body using vegetable oil and coconut oil. <br /><br />It took first-responders almost four days to remove all the tar from Champi's body, but it brought the dog back to a happy and healthy condition.
