Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak said the Pakatan Harapan government's "admission" that the impact of zero-rated Goods and Services Tax GST was marginal, proved that the tax was not the cause of rising costs of living in the country.<br /><br />Najib was referring to Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who said that the price drop following the zero-rating of GST barely reached 30 percent.
