The government should enact the Political Parties Act to ensure political financing is transparent and regulated.<br /><br />This is one of the three major recommendations under the political financing reforms report prepared by the G25 group of eminent Malays along with 69 other NGOs.<br /><br />Economist Professor Dr Edmund Terence Gomez said such reforms are urgently needed as money politics has expanded beyond the internal scope of political parties into the national arena.
