Khazanah Managing Director, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar was given a rousing sendoff by his staff on Tuesday.<br /><br />His staff waited in line to bid him goodbye at the office.<br /><br />Last Tuesday, nine directors on Khazanah’s board, gave their undated resignation letters to the government, ending 11 weeks of impasse on the future direction of the sovereign wealth fund.<br /><br />Azman’s term as managing director, a position he has held since 2004, was supposed to conclude at the end of the first quarter of next year.
