Five schools nationwide have been ordered to close from the 830 schools nationwide affected by the contagious hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) as of Wednesday.<br /><br />They are SJK (C) Shih Chung Cawangan Pulau Pinang; SK Damak, Jerantut, Pahang; SK Pekan Sipitang, Sabah; SJK (C) Chung Hwa Sipitang, Sabah; and SK St Patrick Sipitang, Sabah.<br /><br />The Education Ministry said the five schools will be closed for 10 days, including the weekend to prevent the spread of the disease.
