Fortify Rights legal director Eric Paulsen said there is a tendency for pathologists to `work hand in hand’ with the authorities with regards to police custodial deaths.<br />He said the death reports are written off as due to natural causes.<br />He added it is so easy for police to fix up suspects in police custody as the evidence can be falsified and lock up diaries can be doctored.
