A golden retriever stopped a cat after the feline fell from a building and knocked over its owner in northern China.<br /><br />The video, shot in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on July 12, shows a cat suddenly falling down from the six-floor of a residential building, strike an elderly man walking his dog under it.<br /><br />After the golden retriever saw its owner lying on the ground not moving, it spotted the cat and stopped the feline from running away.<br /><br />A passerby called the police and the elderly man was sent to hospital for treatment. He had a cervical spinal cord injury.<br /><br />The old man was discharged from hospital and recovering at home, while he is going to take legal action to get compensation from the cat's owner, reports said.<br /><br />The video was provided by local media with permission.
