The man who berated a beer promoter, Mohamad Edi Bin Mohamad Riyars, also known as Edi Rejang, did not turn up for a previously announced appointment at the Ampang Jaya police headquarters to have his statement taken.<br /><br />DAP volunteer lawyer KA Ramu, who is supposed to assist Edi to have his statement recorded said Edi had met with the police on Wednesday without informing anyone.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng on Thursday told Malay Mail that efforts to contact Edi has failed since the latter has kept his mobile phones off since yesterday.<br /><br />Lim said he was trying to reach Edi to inform him of several employment offers for the latter after he was let go from his job as a dispatch rider following his controversy.
