Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali denies allegations that the Economic Action Council (EAC) was created due to the Prime Minister's dissatisfaction with the current Cabinet's performance.<br /><br />Azmin said that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad wanted to create an economic action council that was action-orientated to plan effective implementation strategies for long- and medium-term policies.
